Have you ever drooled over the intricate design of the Boba X carrier and wondered about the purpose behind its various buckles? While it's clear that the carrier offers a multitude of functions, paying attention to the details highlights its true uniqueness.

Among its features, the three main buckles stand out: Perfect Fit Adjusters (or PFAs for short) which sits within the same buckle as the Panel Height Adjuster, and the  Breastfeeding Buckle which has the double function of acting as as the Cross Straps Buckle. Yep, we went all out and made them as functional as we could!
Each serves a distinct purpose, contributing to the carrier's versatility and comfort. In this blog, we'll uncover the functionality behind these essential components, illuminating why they are irreplaceable additions to the Boba X.

So, to recap, the 2 main buckles (with 2 functions each) of the carrier are…

1. Perfect Fit Adjusters/Panel Height Adjuster - which sits at the front of the carrier at the top of each shoulder strap where the panel meets the strap.
2. Breastfeeding Buckle/ Cross Straps Buckle - which sits on the side of the carrier where the side of the panel meets the shoulder strap.

To help you understand the function behind these extra bells and whistles, here is our explanation of why these are MUST HAVES on the Boba X…

1. Perfect Fit Adjusters

By pulling the webbing upward (toward the sky) you shorten the actual shoulder strap! Which in turn means you’re bringing the padding closer to the body of the carrier. This feature is perfect if you have a shorter torso or if you are petite. GREAT TIP for adjusting to fit YOU perfectly, is by using the purse strap buckle as a marker., It is supposed to sit on the very top of your shoulders.

2. Panel Height Adjuster

When you pull the webbing on the bottom part of the buckle down (toward the ground) you adjust the height of the panel. If you have a newborn, tighten this fully to decrease the height of the panel, making it fit the tiniest newborn. As your baby is growing, gradually loosen the webbing based on their size. You should always aim to have the panel  up to the back of the baby’s neck until they are able to sit up unsupported. At that point (usually around the 6m mark, they’ll want to wiggle one or both arms out, you’ll need to make sure that the panel reaches at least up to their armpit while they’re awake, and still supports them up to the back of their neck when they’re asleep in the carrier., 3. Breastfeeding Buckle/It frees up space super fast (for when you need your breast super fast) and you only need your thumb to do it! 3. Cross Straps Buckle 

Unbuckling this side buckle offers the option to wear your Boba with the shoulder straps crossed in the back. Many babywearers love the way this feels comfort wise!
